Jeri is a Professional Genealogist and owner of Satterwhite Genealogy. Born and raised in North Carolina, she began researching her family history in 1988, quickly turning her focus to professional research. Jeri is an alumnus of ProGen 34 Study Group and GenProof 54. She is currently "on-the-clock" working towards obtaining certification with BCG, Board of Certification of Genealogist. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the APG North Carolina Chapter, the National Genealogy Society, the North Carolina Genealogy Society, Virginia Genealogy Society, and the Roanoke County, Virginia Genealogical Society. Jeri regularly attends SLIG (Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy), IGHR (Institute of Genealogy & Historical Research), GRIP (Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh), and National and State Genealogical Conferences for yearly continuing education. Her geographic specialty is Southern and Mid-Western research, DNA and genetic genealogy, and teaching genealogy at the Perry Memorial Library in Vance County.
