Jeri is a full-time Professional Genealogist and owner of Satterwhite Genealogy. Born and raised in North Carolina, she began researching her family history in 1988, quickly turning her focus to professional research. Jeri is a ProGen 34 Study Group Alum and currently "on-the-clock" for certification with the BCG, Board of Certification of Genealogist. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the National Genealogy Society, the North Carolina Genealogy Society, the Virginia Genealogy Society, and the Roanoke County, Virginia Genealogical Society. Jeri regularly attends SLIG (Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy), IGHR (Institute of Genealogy & Historical Research), GRIP (Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh), and National and State Genealogical Conferences for yearly continuing education. Her geographic specialty is in Southern and Mid-Western research, DNA and genetic genealogy, and land records of all types. The year of 2020 brought speaking and teaching opportunities in North Carolina and looking forward to the future of an ever-changing world of genealogy.
